Yes indeed, Dr. Seuss! Theodor Seuss Geisel was born in 1904. The celebrated writer died in 1991, but he left behind an incredible body of work.  He wrote and illustrated over 40 children’s books!  He even won the Pulitzer Prize Special Citation Award in 1984.

In his honor, we read “Go, Dog, Go!” this morning in our Tales for Tots storytime. Everyone who works in the children’s room agreed it was impossible to pick a favorite Dr. Seuss book.  But we did anyway.  Our faves?  Two votes for “Green Eggs and Ham” and one vote each for “Oh, the places you’ll go!” “Cat in the Hat” and “One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish.”
