On Monday, August 5, there will be a special “Sharing the River of Life” event at 12 noon at the River Front Green Park in Peekskill, in honor of the 400 year-old Two Row Wampum treaty. The Field Library Children’s Room is inviting kids to create some crafts to celebrate the event – and to spread peace and friendship.
Stop by The Field Library on Friday (from 10 am to 4:30 pm) or Saturday (from 10 am to 1:30 pm) to make a Peekskill postcard to share:
And while you’re here, you can also make a friendship bracelet:
Join us for a special Native American storytime on Friday, August 2 at 11 am.
And come make a totem pole Saturday, August 3 at 11 am.
