Who knew that talking about germs could be so interesting? Thanks to Dr. Michael Lasser, it definitely was! Parents and kids learned all about how germs travel, and how to keep them from getting inside our bodies.
We talked about strep (ouch!), flu (yuck!), the best way to sneeze, and the importance of washing our hands. Kids and parents asked lot of questions. And there may have been some future doctors in the audience.
Thanks to Dr. Michael Lasser for being such a great guest – and such a wonderful friend to The Field Library! And a shout-out to Patti Pelican, Community Outreach Coordinator for NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital, for reaching out to the library.
Dr. Michael Lasser is Chair of Pediatrics, NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Hudson Valley.
